Depression
Depression, or Major Depressive Disorder, is a common and serious mood disorder characterized by persistent sadness, loss of interest or pleasure in activities, and a range of emotional and physical problems. Symptoms can include changes in appetite or sleep, fatigue, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, difficulty concentrating, and thoughts of death or suicide. It significantly impacts daily functioning and quality of life, but is treatable with psychotherapy, medication, or a combination of both.
