artemisinic acid is a monocarboxylic acid that is prop-2-enoic acid which is substituted at position 2 by a 4,7-dimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,5,6,8a-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl group (the 1S,4R,4aS,8aR diastereoisomer). It is a sesquiterpenoid precursor of artemisinin, obtained from sweet wormwood, Artemisia annua. It has a role as a metabolite. It is a member of octahydronaphthalenes, a monocarboxylic acid, a sesquiterpenoid and a carbobicyclic compound. Artemisinic acid (Qing Hao acid) is a sesquiterpene that can be isolated from Artemisia annua L. and is also an important precursor for the synthesis of Artemisinin (HY-B0094). Artemisinic acid has various pharmacological activities, such as anti malarial activity, anti-tumor activity, antipyretic effect, antibacterial activity, allelopathic effect, and anti adipogenic effect.

Seneciphylline N-oxide is a tertiary amine oxide, a tertiary alcohol, an organic heterotricyclic compound, a pyrrolizine alkaloid, a macrocyclic lactone and an olefinic compound. It has a role as a Jacobaea metabolite. It is functionally related to a seneciphylline.
